Chris Johnson, FCSC, RSW, MAATO, CCS is the founder and President of Tri•SPEC Limited, a specification consulting firm based in Cambridge, Ontario.  He offers specification writing services to architectural and engineering firms across Ontario, Canada for building construction projects being constructed in both Canada and the United States.

Having worked as a specification writer in the architectural community since 1987, Chris has extensive experience with bidding and contract award procedures, development of computerized master specification systems, and the production of architectural specifications for building construction projects.

Chris is an Accredited Architectural Technologist (MAATO) in Ontario, a Registered Specification Writer (RSW) in Canada and a Certified Construction Specifier (CCS) in the United States.

As a member of Construction Specifications Canada, Chris served on the CSC Board of Directors for over 10 years, including one year as the Association President. 

Chris is dedicated to the improvement of communication, contract documentation and technical information in the construction industry.  His efforts in this regard have been recognized numerous times, including receipt of a CSC President’s Award, a variety of CSC Programme Director’s Awards, the F. Ross Browne Award, and an AATO Award of Excellence.  Chris was further honoured in 2000 when he was inducted into the CSC College of Fellows.
